Team 21032 is building a set of rapid prototyping shock isolators for sponsor Northrop Grumman. Traditional shock isolators can be expensive and take a long time to produce. So the team is tasked with using a resin printer to create faster, cheaper prototypes. Several of the team members, including team lead Savannah Armstrong, have positions lined up with Northrup Grumman after graduation.

"This project was my top choice, because I've worked with Northrop Grumman before, and they're really pushing 3D printing, so I wanted to be involved," she said. "Plus, it's parts that go in a rocket, which I think is what a lot of us are interested in."
